I am Dr. Shanda Smith, a spirit-filled believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I am convinced that the love of Jesus and the power of God’s word can heal and change anyone’s life. It certainly has been the case for me. My purpose is to help others discover true love within, thus becoming spiritually and emotionally healthy. Without this, one cannot be all the Creator God, designed one to be.
I have been working in the field of psychology and counseling since 1997. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at California State University San Bernardino, Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University and Doctorate of Philosophy in General Psychology with Emphasis in Teaching at Walden University.
Additionally, I have worked with clients of diverse backgrounds, treating various counseling/clinical issues. Currently, I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of California and a National Certified Counselor. I have the wonderful privilege of serving as an Adjunct Professor in the department of Counselor Education and Family Studies at Liberty University. I have published several works, including my recent book, Finding Love In All The Right Places. And finally, I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
